The game is on...!!Yeah... starting June 11 until July 11,2010, the eyes of the world are focusing on the the biggest soccer game in the world : FIFAWorld Cup 2010 that held in South Africa. While the game is on, something funny also going on. Here are some facts from World Cup 2010 that you should not miss-remember it :
For the first time ever, all of the schools in South Africa close from June 9 till July13. This condition is giving opportunity to all of the students to watch and celebrate the biggest event, that migh never happen again in the next 100 years.
The Official World Cup 2010's theme song called "Waka Waka" and performed by Shakira. What is that mean? Well....actually the translation is also on the title. "Waka Waka" means "This Time for Africa".
You might hear a lot of buzzing sound in every game. Those sound is coming from "vuvuzela". What is that? It is a big plastic trumpet that usually made in bright color and blown by all fans in every football game in World Cup.
Germany is the first country that collecting the highest goal point in the first week of the World Cup Game. On the third day of the game, Germany defeated Australia with score 4 - 0. Lukas Podolksi, Miroslav Klose, Thomas Mueller and Cacau are the German's players who took the responsibility of these success.
The first red card goes to Australia when the fought Germany. Tim Cahill got the card in the first period of game (in 56th minutes) after tackled Bastian Schweinsteiger.
Johannesburg is the host city that become the biggest hosting number of play. There are 15 matches (including Opening Match, quarter final, and Final itself) that will be held in that city. The games will be playedin two stadiums: Ellis Park and Soccer City.
There are 7 countries (some called them "Super Seven") have won previous World Cup : Brazil, Italy, Germany, Argentina, Uruguay, England, and France. There is no any other country that won World Cup competetition so far, besides the "Super Seven". Will South Africa won this time? Could be....who knows?
